Municipal Taxes

Municipal taxes are taxes levied and collected by the city.
Municipal taxes are used for "community building" for enriching our lives, such as social welfare, school education and maintenance of city roads.
Please pay your taxes in accordance with the Tax Payment Notice sent from the city.

市税は、市が賦課・徴収する税金です。
市税は、社会福祉や学校教育、市道の整備など、 生活を豊かにする「まちづくり」のために使われます。
市から送付する納税通知書に従い、納めてください。

Inhabitant Tax (Individual Municipal Tax)

This tax is levied on persons residing in the city as of January 1st every year for those having a specified personal income or higher in the previous fiscal year.
You must submit a final tax return form declaring your income and deductions for the previous fiscal year by March 15. The following people need not submit a tax return:

• Those without an income other than their salary, and whose Salary Payment Report has been submitted to the City Office from their company
• Those who file a final return for their income tax

住民税（個人市民税）
毎年1月1日現在、市内に住所があり、前年中に一定額以上の所得のあった方に課税されます。
毎年3月15日までに、市へ前年中の所得や控除の内容を申告してくださいただし、次の方は申告する必要はありません。

• 給与以外に収入のない所得者で、勤務先から市役所に給与支払報告書が提出されている方
• 所得税の確定申告をする方

Annual Property Tax

This tax is levied on persons owning fixed assets (land, house, depreciable assets) as of January 1st every year.

固定資産税
毎年１月１日現在、市内に固定資産（土地、家屋、償却資産）を持っている方に課税されます。

Urban Planning Tax

This tax is levied on persons owning land or housing in the city's urban planning zone as of January 1st every year.

都市計画税
毎年1月1日現在、市の都市計画区域に土地や家屋を持つ方に課税されます。

Light Motor Vehicle Tax

This tax is levied on those owning a motorbike, light motor vehicle, compact special motor vehicle, or two-wheeled compact motor vehicle as of April 1st.

軽自動車税
毎年4月1日現在、原動機付自転車や軽自動車、小型特殊自動車、二輪の小型自動車を所有している方に対し、課税されます。

National Health Insurance Taxes

These taxes are levied on the heads of households having an address in the city and who are enrolled in the National Health Insurance System. (Even if the head of the household is not enrolled in the National Health Insurance System, the head of the household is taxed if someone else in the household is enrolled in the National Health Insurance System.)

国民健康保険税
市内に住所があり、国民健康保険に加入している世帯の世帯主に対し課税されます。（世帯主が国保に加入していなくても、世帯内に国保加入者がいる場合は、世帯主に課税されます。）

How to Pay Taxes

There are two ways of paying taxes: by paying directly at a financial institution using the Tax Payment Notice or by automatic bank transfer from your bank account.

税金の払い方には「納税通知書」により、金融機関などで直接支払う方法と、「口座振替」によるものがあります。

Paying by Tax Payment Notice

Please pay directly at the counter of your nearest financial institution using the Tax Payment Notice sent addressed to the taxpayer from the city.
You can pay the tax at a convenience store if a barcode is printed on the tax payment notice.

納税通知書などで納める場合
市から納税義務者あてに送付する納税通知書により、最寄りの金融機関窓口などで直接お支払いください。
納期限内で、バーコード印字がある納税通知書であれば、コンビニエンスストアでもお支払いいただけます。

Paying by Automatic Bank Transfer

With this method, taxes are paid automatically at each appointed date from your specified current deposit account. This is convenient since it frees you from the trouble of going to a financial institution to pay your taxes and there is no fear of forgetting to pay your taxes.

[Applying to pay by direct debit]
Apply by using method 1 or 2 shown below.

1. Apply at your preferred financial institution. Bring your deposit book and the seal used to open your deposit account.
2. Fill out the required items on the form for requesting direct debit by post, and then mail the form. The form for requesting direct debit by post is sent with the tax payment notice.

あなたの指定した預金口座から、納期ごとに自動的に振り替えて納付する方法です。
金融機関などに納付に行く手間が省けたり、納付忘れが無くなったりと、便利です。

【口座振替お申し込み方法】
次の1または、2の方法でお申し込みください。

1. 預金通帳と通帳印をお持ちのうえ、ご希望の金融機関へお申し込みください。
2. 郵送用口座振替依頼書に必要事項を記入し、ポストへ投函してください。
   郵送用口座振替依頼書は、納税通知書と一緒に送付しています。
